Hipsters hang out. The coffee is excellent but the attitude behind the counter (particularly from the female staff) often leaves a sour tinge. I don't go there except to get beans because of the tude. There are better cafe's in town that still serve excellent Stumptown Coffee and seem to be able to make preparing and serving a cup of coffee a pleasant experience.

Food: not really know for food. standard fare of bagels and muffins and pastries. adequate.

Drink: Possibly the most excellent cup of coffee that you can find on the North American continent.
