Nothing for gangster tastes
Food: Only sophisticated diners can appreciate it
Drink: One of the best. Coffee in most American family restaurants stinks and ought to coss no more than a quarter

Right off the Max line and bike commute routes, this is a great spot to stop while on your way.

Everyone is friendly, there is a huge picture of Lech Walesa on the wall, the place is very modern. I like it.
Food: I don't know what the heck this other reviewer is talking about. Breakfast sandwiches, which are great, are $2.50, Boar's Head sandwiches for lunch are in the normal $5 range depending on what you order. You can sit and have a beer if you prefer that to coffee. Ice cream is also available. I dig the breakfast sandwiches.
Drink: Good coffee, good beer. What else do you want?

The place was empty when I was there, ghost-town like, almost too sterile for me and the head guy is eerily and overly nice, like he's trying too hard. I'd rate it a 4 out of 10, not my type of "pdx coffee shop." More like an out-of-towner trying to make a Seattle style shop in Portland.
Food: Wouldn't eat there, too expensive for my tastes. Plus I'm more into healthy food. But that's my problem
Drink: Coffee is nothing to write home about, but not bad. A little weak and nothing unique in the flavor dept.
